Nour makes her COLORS debut with ‘Nesety Nafsek’

A ballad for anyone who grew up too different from the people who made them, delivered on the platform that has become a global filter for exactly that.

Egyptian singer-songwriter Nour makes her debut on the globally renowned music platform COLORS with an intimate performance of ‘Nesety Nafsek,’ a soft pop ballad for the misfits.

The single captures the quiet ache of growing up feeling too different” from the world around you. Through deeply personal lyrics, Nour gives voice to a familiar kind of loneliness exploring the painful paradox of trying to belong to the very people and places that shaped you, only to feel rejected by them. Carried by Nour’s hushed, vulnerable vocals and poignant lyricism, reflecting the alienation that comes with not fitting into societal and familial molds and the exhausting search for validation that follows.

Produced by British indie rock artist Tom Caro alongside Nour’s longtime collaborator Hadi Birajakli, the track blends contemporary pop sensibilities with cinematic instrumentation. A sweeping violin solo by Rouane Gawiche adds emotional depth, elevating the song into something both intimate and expansive.

Styled by Cairo based designer Aly Alzayan, the full Be-indie look features a contemporary, laid-back ensemble that blends nostalgic warmth with a distinctly modern edge complementing the emotional tone of the performance.

Since its inception in 2016, COLORS has risen to cult status, known for its minimalist aesthetic and stripped-back staging that places pure artistry at the forefront. The platform has become a global tastemaker, spotlighting distinctive emerging artists and propelling them toward international recognition.

With this debut, Nour joins a roster of Abu Recordings talents who have graced the COLORS stage, including Saint Levant and Lella Fadda.
