August saw another wave of new music coming out of the MENA region, moving between R&B, pop, indie rock, electronic and everything in between. For this month’s playlist, we’re rounding up some of the standout cuts that caught our eye, from familiar names to artists exploring new corners of their sound.
The latest instalment brings together regional heavyweights, including Tul8te’s unexpected link-up with Elyanna on ‘Haneish’, lifted from his latest album, ‘Sadeeq Albernameg’; Egyptian indie rock stalwarts Cairokee with their eighth studio album, ‘Supernova’; and a new crop of regional artists and producers.
