BLTNM and Studio Stereo have kicked off a trippy animated series, opening up a wider playground for satire, street culture and political commentary. Building on the visual language the pair have developed across previous collaborations, including the animated worlds surrounding ‘Rad Saree3’, ‘SULTAN’ and ‘Umro2’, the series turns one of BLTNM’s songs into something closer to an ongoing fictional universe.
Its first episode follows Shabjdeed and Riyadiyat through a characteristically chaotic stretch of everyday life, where post-prison banter, mystery pills and a moving car quickly unravel into something far stranger. The series finds its political weight in absurdity, with humour, boredom and escapism sitting alongside the realities of incarceration and restricted movement, creating a world where the surreal often feels like the most honest way to process reality.
